All Religions Lead to God

After all of my years of being a Christian, I have something I must confess. After all of my years of battling Universalist ideas, which assert there are many ways to eternity, I must confess-

I agree with them. Through my reading lately, author Sinclair Ferguson has helped me articulate this.

Yes, I agree with them.

All religions do lead to God. Islam. Buddhism. Mormonism. Indeed, even Atheism. They all do.

It feels good to get this off my chest.

It also feels good to get off my chest, my answer to the question, “What happens when you get to God?”

What happens when Islam ultimately shows itself as a device of the Devil? What happens when Atheism leads you before God when you take your last breath and you do not hear him say, “Well done.”

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:10

What happen when all these religions and ideologies took you right up to God. And then you are judged to be away from Him forever and ever in a very real place- Hell.

Is a path leading to God really worth it, if it stops short at meeting Him? God gave a path where you can be present with Him in perfect fellowship forever!

This is where my Universalist friends and I differ. I know it to be true, that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, died, was buried, and rose again so I can do more than be led to Him and furthermore, be led into His presence (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Can you say the same?

If not, it is as easy as making a confession of your own. Believe Jesus for who He says He is, and live. Now and forever.
