Clarence Larkin was an impressive intellect. He was a gifted engineer and architect who one day found himself in a dilemma. He could, continue doing the mundane or use his skills to further the Gospel. He chose the latter.

He then designed many brilliant charts to explain God’s interactions with humanity. Many of these are still used in one capacity or another by many.

It was in one of his books which showcased these charts that he reflected on the amazing fact that the Bible is uniquely congruent despite having so many authors and having been written in some many settings. He put it this way,

“Imagine another book compiled in a similar manner. Suppose, for illustration, that we take 66 medical books written by 40 different physicians and surgeons during a period of 1600 years, of various schools of medicine, as Allopathy, Homeopathy, Hydropathy, Osteopathy, etc. and bind them all together, and then undertake to doctor a man according to that book. What success would we expect to have, and what accord would there be in such a medical work?”

Carnal humanity is out to put a verdict on the matter Biblical accuracy yet it has already been spoken thus sayeth the Lord (2 Timothy 3:16-17). This effort is a reincarnation of the building of the Tower of Babel, although it’s success will be similar (Genesis 11).

Add this confirmation of the powerful uniqueness of Scripture to another reason you can trust it. It is Holy, inspired, and it truly would take more faith to not believe.
