Sufficient for the “In-Between”

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9

We often pray for “Deliverance” (the removal of the thorn), but in this Dispensation of Grace, God offers us something more profound: “Sufficiency” (strength through the thorn). There is a unique pressure in watching someone we love struggle through a dark valley.

We want to fix it; we want to provide the exit strategy. However, the Pauline perspective shifts our focus from the exit to the endurance. God’s grace isn’t a “get out of jail free” card for life’s complexities; it is the divine energy that stabilizes the inner man when the outer world is shaking. If you find yourself in an “in-between” season—where the problem hasn’t left, but the pressure has increased—remember that His strength is not waiting for you at the finish line. It is perfectly made manifest in your very point of weakness right now.
