“Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.” ~ 2 Timothy 2:9
In our walk of grace, we often encounter seasons that feel like a “shutdown.” Perhaps it’s a health crisis, a relational fracture, or a situation where your hands are tied, and you are forced to watch from the sidelines. It is human nature to feel that if we are restricted, the work is restricted.
But Paul, writing from a literal prison, offers us a higher vantage point. While the “ambassador” might be in bonds, the “Message” is never under lock and key. Your current “hard time” might limit your movement, your finances, or your influence, but it cannot wall off the operation of God’s Word in your soul. The truth of who you are in Christ—seated in heavenly places—remains untouched by earthly constraints. Today, find rest in this: the circumstances may be “bound,” but the Word of God in you is free, active, and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).
