Order in His Court

In the 1960’s, there was a comedy T.V. show called Get Smart. This show was a parody to James Bond.

In it, Agent 86 and 99 worked for control and their nemesis was Kaos, an organization of evil.

In the Bible a lot is said about a sort of control called “order”.

You can not have order and chaos.

1 Corinthians 14:40 instructs,

“Let all things be done decently and in order.”

There must be order in all things.

Order in the Church for edifying, sanctifying, and serving. Without proper order, the Church becomes dysfunctional (chaos) and will never perform proper workmanship unto the Lord.

There is an order in life.

Furthermore, we all start out crawling before we walk.

Psalm 37:23 teaches the Christian that “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighteth in His way.”

Then, we die.

“And it appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgement” (Hebrews 9:27).

Following this, if you are in the Body of Christ you have the resurrection.

And in this we know that “if ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1).

Clearly, there is an order to be born again (Romans 12:2).

We are to die (Colossians 3:3) and then live again (Romans 6:4).

So let’s keep step in order of God’s plan looking for that blessed hope (Titus 2:13). That is to be forever with the one who died for our sins and has prepared a place in Heaven for us.

May we continue to look to Him, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

As go throughout this week, cherish order over chaos and be enriched by the Holy Word.

God bless!
