Conversion. Church Terms, Simple #1
You may sometimes hear the word, “convert” or “conversion.” This English word comes from the two Latin words that mean “turn around.”
It brings about ideas of tent revivals and services, but I want to stress. Conversion is not the end result of believing the Gospel. God does not want you to “turn around,” He wants you to “become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
It brings about another church word you hear often. Saved.
Saved from yourself. Saved from wrath. Saved from turning around and still seeing the same old life.
Don’t turn around. Be transformed (Romans 12:1-2).
