Prime Real Estate

“Real estate cannot be lost or stolen, nor can it be carried away. Purchased with common sense, paid for in full, and managed with reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world.” ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

Read the above statement. Then read it again. Now, I want to ask. Is Roosevelt talking about real estate investment or is this the current evangelical model for the church?

All too often as the contemporary church, we acts real estate agents for Heaven instead of ambassadors for Heaven, although the God of Scripture favors unity over division (2 Corinthians 5:20). Unity is undermined often by two groups of people: “Good” Christians and false teachers. Either you have people who approach individuals in guile and deceit or well intentioned Christians who attempt to win people to the Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, or Catholic side of Heaven (2 Corinthians 11:12-15).

They walk the golden roads and proclaim, stay away from the poorer, uneducated suburbs of Heaven. “The best homes are reserved for the [insert Christian framework]!” “The most crowns are for [insert denominations].” Christians may preach more so how much better the homes are for certain Christians instead of preaching the Truth that “in due time Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:6).

But no longer do I want to be a real estate! No longer do I want to see anyone homeless! I want everyone to know that Heaven will be splendid for all for they are in the presence of our Savior, 24/7! Why sell when we have the capacity to tell others about the gift of grace provided by Jesus Christ by His death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Don’t sell. Proclaim!
