Mega Millions

Mega Millions. The famed lottery is, as last I saw it, 1.25 billion. The fourth largest jackpot yet which is pretty much a Mega Billion now.

Although the chance is insanely low to win it, many are excited to get it. Just the very chance of winning such a ludicrous amount of cash thrills them. Just for the chance.

But there is actually a lottery with far more wealth than many care not a bit about and it is sad.

Scripture charges us to beware of uncertain riches and only to invest in the richness of God!

1 Timothy 6:17-19 reads,

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”

I am not a one who tells anyone not to gamble, but I am one to say if you do, at least have the insurance of Godly riches to back your invest. He will take care of your every need (Philippians 4:19). You don’t have to win the lottery, Christ has already paid the ticket, and the lottery of life is yours guaranteed (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
