Soul! F.M.

Have you ever been driving and while flipping through radio stations, found that there was nothing good to hear?

I do not mean nothing good as in positive, I mean there is just nothing worthwhile to listen to.

If yes, as most have had this happen, what station do you eventually give up and stop on?

For most, it will be the station that is playing the most familiar song. It may not be a good song, just a tolerable one.

And we all know that by this point, the ride has become increasingly less enjoyable and dull.

Life, in a similar regard can portray a dull tint when settling on a drab, familiar station. When you turn off seek and no longer expect something great, then you become desensitized to the hope that is set in the heart of the believer from salvation.

The Christian walk that we are called to should be directed by the hope and prize of our high calling.

Paul affirms this in Philippians 3:14 when proclaiming,

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Paul never turned off seek and he was always listening and living for the good grace that proceeds only from the Father by the Holy Spirit. Paul was quick to proclaim the author of such grace (1 Corinthians 15:10).

Be like Paul (1 Corinthians 11:1-2). Never settle and always seek godliness in your life (Philippians 4:8).

In Him, we know that the ride may not always be smooth. It may be bumpy and it may get hot. But by Jesus Christ we may have joy through it and sing in Him a new song daily (Psalm 98:1; Romans 15:13).

God bless!
