The other day I was watching the National Pickleball Championship games while on the internet.
Within the hour, I started receiving sales ads for everything pickleball: Paddles, balls, shoes, lessons, and even pickleball glasses. I was being pursued from every side.
I began to think about how God through Jesus by the Holy Spirit has pursued me wot for harm or brim (Ephesians 2:7) but for good. So now instead of being bombarded with all the wares and things of this present and evil world, I have set my affection on things above and not on things on the Earth (Colossians 3:1-2).
So, I can rest in my standing with Christ. I need nothing else whether it be religious works or a sales pitch for things that will instantly make me play better.
Let the right thing pursue you. We should rest assured that God pursues us. In fact, He loves us so much that He gave the most precious gift of all time.
He sacrificed His only begotten Son to pay our sin debt. He did not sin, and He did not owe the same wage of sin that every human owed (Romans 6:23). Once we believe what Jesus did for us (1 Corinthians 15:3-4), our relationship is made personal and no matter how far we fall away from Him, God still loves us and pursues us.
He pursues while still teaching us the effects of sin on our life. For we still have to deal with consequences of sin; yet He never gives up on us. He never let’s go of us because He is faithful (Romans 5:1-2).
This devotion is a word from Timothy Corum. We pray it is enriching to you the reader and that it stands as a firm reminder of God, who pursues us all relentlessly.

Hi Mr. Corum! I really liked what you said about God pursuing us even during times when sin is affecting of in our life. I’m so thankful for God’s unconditional love. Thank you for reminding me of that today!
